To those reading poor reviews. Keep in mind this is clearly a local favorite. Bad reviews commented on service. This is likely an issue of translation and cultural misunderstanding. Being able to speak the language helps. This is a consideration before visiting. If you don’t, go with patience in mind. The server was firm, but VERY accommodating, even when prompted to address allergies. Menu has no pricing.
Food was fantastic. These veteran chefs know their craft. We ordered 2 of the full course (12 skewers each), sashimi plate, yakionigiri (rice balls), and drinks. They provided some service side dishes on the house. Bill was about 150 USD. Very fair in my opinion. Food items were exceptional. And if you show respect to their shop, other customers, and are open minded, you will have a wonderful experience.
